英検®3級ライティング対策｜I think that〜 の使い方と意見文の書き出し完全解説

I think that〜 の正しい使い方
基本構造
I think that [意見の内容].
that は省略可能ですが、書いても問題ありません（「I think 意見」でも「I think that 意見」でも正解）。
QUESTIONに正確に答える「I think that〜」の組み立て方
QUESTION が「Do you think〜?」の形式の場合、そのまま「I think that〜」に組み込みます。

コツ：QUESTIONをほぼそのまま「I think that〜」のあとに繰り返すだけで第1文は完成します。新しい内容を考える必要はありません。
I think の言い換え表現
同じ文章の中で「I think」を繰り返すと語彙点が下がります。最後のまとめの文では言い換えを使いましょう。

言い換えを使った模範解答例
I think that students should exercise every day. I have two reasons. First, daily exercise helps students stay healthy. Second, it also reduces stress. For these reasons, I believe that regular exercise is very important for students.
→ 最初は「I think」、最後は「I believe」に言い換え、単調な繰り返しを避けています。
よくある「I think の後のミス」5つ
ミス1：I think is good.（主語がない）
✅ I think it is good. / I think this is good.
ミス2：I think sports is good.（QUESTIONに答えていない）
QUESTIONが「Do you think students should play sports?」なのに、「I think sports is good.」と答えると採点者に立場が伝わりません。
✅ I think students should play sports.
ミス3：I think that it is very very important.（very の重複）
very を2回使うと不自然です。
✅ I think it is very important. または I think it is extremely important.
ミス4：I thinks（三単現の-s をつける誤り）
think の主語は「I」なので-sはつけません。
✅ I think（-s なし）
ミス5：I'm thinking that〜（進行形にする誤り）
意見を述べるときは現在形を使います。
✅ I think（進行形は使わない）

QUESTION: Do you think people should use public transportation more?
解答例（Yes）：I think that people should use public transportation more to reduce pollution and traffic.
問題5（まとめ文の言い換え練習）
「I think that students should exercise every day.」というまとめの文を「I think」以外の表現で書き直してください。
解答例：I believe that daily exercise is essential for students' health and well-being.
