準1級長文の3つの特徴

1. テーマが抽象的・社会的：科学・経済・社会・環境・心理・歴史など専門性のあるテーマが多い
2. 語数が多い：1パッセージで300〜500語、全体で1000〜1500語以上
3. 設問が「論理関係」を問う：「なぜ〜か」「著者の意見は何か」「〜の結果どうなったか」という問いが多い

速く正確に読む4ステップ

1. 設問を先に読む：何を問われているかを把握してから本文を読む
2. 各段落の最初の文（トピックセンテンス）に注目：段落のテーマを素早く把握する
3. 設問のキーワードが含まれる段落を重点的に読む：全部を均等に読もうとしない
4. 選択肢と本文を照合：本文に根拠のない選択肢は選ばない

知らない単語の推測法

• 語根・接頭辞・接尾辞から推測：bio-（生命）、eco-（環境）、-tion（名詞）など
• 文脈から推測：前後の文が「説明・例示・対比」になっていることが多い
• 一単語にこだわらない：その単語が分からなくても設問に答えられることも多い
